Jaime Rolando Rosenthal Oliva (1936, San Pedro Sula) is a Honduran politician.
Jaime Rosenthal is the leader of one of Liberal Party of Honduras's (PLH) wings, and has been a perennial candidate for President. Because of his age, Jaime Rosenthal is preparing his son Yani to run for the Presidency of Honduras in the near future.
Mr. Rosenthal has a BS in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an SM degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He was one of the Vice Presidents (known as Designados Presidenciales) during the Presidency of Jose Azcona Hoyo (Jan. 1986-Jan.1990) and resigned because of political differences, also former Honduras Congressman (Jan. 2002- Jan. 2006).
His son Yani Rosenthal was the Minister of the Presidency ( jan.27, 2006 - dec-31, 2007) in the Mel Zelaya administration, his lawyer (Rassel Tome) was the head of the telecommunications regulator CONATEL and his brother in law: Roberto Hidalgo (brother of his wife Mrs. Mirian Hidalgo de Rosenthal) was the Internal Auditor of Empresa Nacional Portuaria (Honduras national Port Authority).

On September 18, 2007, Arcadia, an American NGO, declared through CNN that there were signs of corruption which involved a cable company owned by the Rosenthal family in Honduras. This company was pressumably involved in "gray traficking", in violating of Honduran law. Despite this report which was also previously published in Mexican newspaper El Universal (Mexico City), no legal action so far has been taken against any of the Rosenthal family companies.[11]
